Our products are built with fine craftsmanship and we want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. With consistent care, you can extend the life of your Holy City Woods board for generations to come.

Below you will find basic information regarding care and maintenance for your board. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions or concerns

Once a month (or as needed) apply mineral oil to all board surfaces. In addition, we suggest applying a board conditioner (generally a mix of beeswax and mineral oil) to help maintain a proper seal on your board. Apply to all surfaces and allow to sit overnight before buffing off with a soft cloth

**Boards that are not used regularly should still be conditioned on a regular basis. Failure to do so can cause the wood to dry out, and over time, crack.

Wipe board clean and wash with mild soap and water. Never use harsh chemicals or a steel brush on the board

Allow to dry in a vertical position

Never fully submerge in water

Never put board in the dishwasher

Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity

Razor sharp cleavers and serrated knives may leave marks in your board. Cleavers may cause soft spots and lead to long-lasting damage on your board

Do not allow liquids such as brine, water, or blood to sit on the board for longer than necessary. The liquid may get absorbed into the wood causing swelling and long-lasting damage to board

Certain Foods such as berries, beets, and potatoes may result in staining. Make sure board is well sealed before cutting these items on your board to help prevent staining

Do not cut raw meat, seafood or poultry on board unless thoroughly cleaned and sealed. A well-sealed board is imperative. Wash thoroughly and reseal after cutting raw meats on board

Epoxy designs are meant for display only. Cutting directly on the epoxy is not recommended
